It has been twenty-four years 'since Harry Potter, the Order of the Phoenix, and Dumbledore's Army defeated Lord Voldemort and his group of Death Eaters. All has been quiet since peace was restored, and many thought that muggle and wizard would finally be able to live in harmony. But just because things are calm in Britain, does not mean this holds for the rest of the world. From the West, a threat brews.
Across the Atlantic Ocean, a force that is yet to be recognized is slaughtering American witches and wizards mercilessly. First, the attacks model that of your standard breaking and entering robberies, but soon the break-ins, attacks and murders become glaringly wizard-centric, and the magical community is forced to recognize they are being targeted. To the Muggle Police, it is merely a series of random and unfortunate crimes. But suddenly, neighbors start disappearing, friends start acting strangely and everyone, everyone is a suspect.
Regardless of the imposing danger, Salem Academy, one of America’s finest wizarding schools opens its doors for another year. Students file in, but before classes can start the next day, the menace steps in and the young witches and wizards are attacked. Many die, more are wounded, and all are scarred. In a desperate attempt to keep his remaining students safe, the Principal of Salem Academy reaches out to Headmistress Lovegood. She obliges and the students are sent to live with the kids of Hogwarts for the remainder of the year.
Upon their arrival at Hogwarts, the Americans find that many of the students are cold and malicious. Rumors spread among the British that the American’s ancestors once stole the wands of witches and wizards, before leaving for the colonies in America. Suddenly, the Americans become less popular than the Slytherins, and Hogwarts finds itself becoming entangled in its own war, a war that mirrors the fight their parents fought nearly two and a half decades ago. As the students struggle internally, the War in America comes closer and closer to Hogwarts.
As the months toil on, Hogwarts becomes the only safe place left for magical students. One by one, institutions for magical learning are attacked – Durmstrang, Beauxbatons, New Orleans School for the Magically Gifted, each school attacked; students are murdered, or disappear entirely. Still, the threat remains at large, and unknown. Security is doubled, the students classes have become training sessions, and attack drills are run regularly. If the enemy attacks, the students of Hogwarts will not go down without a noble fight – that is, if they are able to see past their petty differences and learn to work together.
So do you have what it takes to tread through the MURKY WATERS?
