OVERVIEW: Meredy is a bright girl. She's smart and temperamental. She's complex as well. While she is okay with lying and sneaking out, she does not agree with bullying or anything of the sort. She has an evil side, no doubt. She will make someone regret it if they hurt her. Probably not at first though, because she is sensitive. She is loyal to her friends and will show it no matter what. She does not like being underestimated. Being a muggleborn witch, she came into the Wizarding World without knowing anything about everything. She did not like this feeling so she tried her best in her studies. She feels judged and looked down at because of her muggleborn blood status - even though the war is over.
She has an awful temper; if she gets too irritated and aggravated, she'll snap and yell at everyone within hearing distance. In her fifth year, she passed her O.W.L.s with flying colors. This gave her the confidence to try harder for her N.E.W.T.s two years later. Even on those, she did fairly well. She had aspired to be a Healer since her fifth year, so she pushed herself to her limits to get what she wanted.
Occasionally, she will feel guilty and ashamed of being a muggleborn. After seven years of being looked down at her blood trait, it kind of stuck with her. She does not like these feelings, preferring to remain upbeat and bubbly - which she naturally is. She is impulsive and sarcastic.

OVERVIEW: Meredy Celeste Rossum was born to muggle doctor and lawyer, Maggie and Mark respectively. Her magic did not start to show until she was a four year old toddler. Her parents, since they were never around, stuck her in preschool as early as they could. In the middle of her class, her magic started showing. This boy in her class was being rude and stole her crayons. She grew angry and when the boy pulled the crayons out of the box they melted all over his pudgy hands. The class found this hysterical, Meredy found it odd, and the teacher found it questionable. Nevertheless, the teacher went to the bathroom and cleaned him up. During this time period, shy Meredy got really quiet and sneakily left the classroom.
Mark and Maggie really had no idea what they were supposed to do. They loved their daughter, so they believed it was just a "stage" she was going through. With strange things happening throughout her youth, until she was eleven, her parents blew it off as nothing. Then on her eleventh birthday, a strange woman had talked to her parents about their daughter being a witch. They still didn't know what to do. "Nothing in our parenting books had prepared us for this!" Meredy made sense of all of this however. She knew that something was abnormal about her. Did she expect to be told she was a witch? No. Did it explain a lot? Of course.
Getting to Hogwarts was something totally different. She did not exactly want to go shopping with her parents in Diagon Alley, so she was glad when they told her they had to work. The same lady that had told her she was witch came to take her. It wasn't as bad as she had expected. She went to school on September 1st and was sorted into Gryffindor House, class of 1999. Her first year she was terrified the entire year. There was a basilisk roaming around, killing and petrifying Muggleborns. She was a muggleborn. She went through the whole year terrified of being alone in the halls. Her second year was not as bad. The raving murderer Sirius Black had broken free from Azkaban and tried to kill Harry Potter.
Third year, Hogwarts held the Triwizard Tournament. Fourth year, there were rumors that Lord Voldemort had returned. She believed them, but silently. She did not want to believe them so she tried to not think about them. Fifth year, she had to stress over her O.W.L.s. and the stress over the maybe-war. Before the exams, Albus Dumbledore - Hogwarts Headmaster - had been killed by the Potions professor, Severus Snape. Needless to say, taking the tests were difficult for her.
Her sixth year was vague and hell. She attended Hogwarts until after Easter holidays. When she was at Hogwarts, she was helping out in Dumbledore's Army as much as she could. Then over the Easter holiday, she had been kidnapped and brutally beat by Death Eaters because of her Muggleborn status. She wasn't killedobviouslybut she wasn't let free until after the Death Eaters that were holding her captive had been arrested after Lord Voldemort had died.
After the war, she had gone back to Hogwarts to help rebuild it and go through her seventh and final year. Meredy is currently graduated and now working as a trainee at St. Mungos on the third floor.
